My archivist friends find the bugaboo of labelling acid-free containers a huge
one that apparently nobody in the archival world has solved; there is no
adhesive that lasts longer than 10-15 years, and the self-adhesive labels peel
off within one or two. The only solution is to slap mylar tape over the label
or to chuck labels entirely and use archival ink to write on the boxes.
