ICOM MPR encourages the development of public relations and marketing in
museums

     We seek to broaden understanding of the significance of these activities
and place particular emphasis on projecting the image of the 'living museum'

     Our ultimate aim is to help you, the professional, in all matters related
to marketing and public relations.

Museums exist for people. Being a member of MPR helps you identify new
audiences and extend your promotional outreach

     Our members work continuously on new projects that inform the museum
world ofcurrent public relations techniques and marketing practice - what
works and what does not!

HOW TO JOIN ICOM MPR


If you are already a member of the International Council of Museums
(ICOM), you can become a member of ICOM MPR. Our members range from public
relations personnel at museums of all sizes, to directors who are concerned
with marketing their museums


As a member of ICOM you can become a voting member on one specialist committee
and a non-voting member on two other specialist committees

Our MPR subscription rates are the same for voting and non-voting members. You
may also elect not to join the MPR committee but just subscribe to MPR NEWS

HOW TO CALCULATE YOUR MPR SUBSCRIPTION


Our subscription rates are based on your personal salary. Opt for a three year
discounted subscription.

You may pay an annual subscription or opt for a three year discounted rate.

Bank drafts should be in US dollars and made payable to 'ICOM MPR COMMITTEE'.
If you prefer you may pay by credit card.

ICOM MPR - Conferences

Diary these dates!

ICOM MPR's next conference will be held in Washington DC. The likely dates are
late September and early October of 1996 and it is proposed that this be a
joint meeting with members of AAM.
