The Midwest Museums Conference 1995 annual meeting will be September 20-23 in
Cincinnati. The program line-up includes over 40 sessions, workshops and
tours. Sessions and workshops explore trustee and administrative issues,
museum-community relationships, contemporary programming and persistent
issues, marketing of museums, revamping exhibits, funding, development, AAM's
New Visons, and collections issues. Over 20 exhibitors will represent their
products and services in the exhibit hall Thursday and Friday, and they're
helping contain registrants' costs by sponsoring food events in the exhibit
hall and at Cincinnati institutions. For excellent evening events, your hosts
- the museums at Union Terminal, the Art Museum, Zoo, Taft Museum and other
museums and downtown galleries - will open their exhibition spaces and buffet
lines. The conference hotel is the downtown Omni Netherland Plaza, an
exceptional Art Deco hotel listed in the National Register of Historic
Places. For room reservations, call 800-THE-OMNI and mention MMC for rates at
$95-$105. Conference registration for members before 8/18 is $95; $125
afterward. Call MMC at 314-454-3110, fax 314-454-3162, or e-mail

Pre-registration helps the planners plan!
