Oh yeah, and one more thing about Access, it is fully customizable, fully
accessable from programming languages like Visual Basic (they both use the
same Jet Database Engine).  what is nice about this is that basic data entry,
query and report screens and be developed with relative ease through Visual
Basic.  this way every one does not have to have Access loaded on their
machine, only this simple little application.  Also, there is even more
security if that is an issue because the application only accesses what you
let it.  If everyone works off of forms and reports that you build IN Access,
then you'll need to set the appropriate securities in the database itself.
 All of this sounds daunting but it's really quite simple and i was able to
learn most of this in a relatively short amount of time.
