A request for information from those of you teaching in graduate
Museum Studies programs. What do you find the best preparation
for incoming students? (This obviously needs nuancing by fields -
art, anthropology, sciences, etc.) Do yhou feel that some introduction
to museums, and/or other courses might serve
students? Do you feel it is preferable that students concentrate
on subject areas and wait until graduate school for the professional
stuff? Also, do you look for prior internship/work experience,
travel, languages?

Thanks for your help.
