Wind and Water: Emergency Care for Historic Buildings
Have you had personal experience with flood damage to an
historic building?
I am studying the effects of flooding on historic buildings.
Many historic houses were damaged in the recent and
widespread floods in the Midwestern and Southeastern USA.
Please tell me about your practical experience in dealing
with floods: what worked and what didn't. The results of my
study will be published by the Alabama Historical Commission
and I'll share copies with anyone who responds. I'll present
a seminar/workshop in southern Alabama, USA, in late
September titled Wind and Water: Emergency Care for Historic
Buildings. Call the Commission at 205 242-3184 for
information on the time and place.
