The Computer Museum and the Peabody Museum of Archeology and Ethnology
are conducting a survey of other museums, nationally and
internationally. We are interested in learning whether and how other
museums are creating a presence on the World Wide Web. We would also
like to find out how other museums are maintaining and sustaining their
Web sites.
The results of this survey will be compiled and made available on The
Computer Museum's Web site (http://www.tcm.org). We will compile these
results in December, 1995, using the responses received up to that date,
and again in February, 1995, using the entire set of responses. A
longer discussion of the results will also be presented in a session at
the AAM Meeting in May, 1996.
Please take a few minutes to fill out the survey. It is on-line at the
Computer
Museum's Web site. The URL for the survey is
<http://www.tcm.org/surveys/mow.html>. The information we learn from
this research project should be of value to all of us in the museum
community.
Thank you.
