DEVELOPMENT  ASSOCIATE I

The California Museum Foundation, the non-profit fund raising affiliate of
the California Museum of Science and Industry seeks an experienced
development professional and grantwriter.  This full-time position will be
responsible for the development of text, proposals, and correspondence to
support fund raising activities.

Qualifications:  Three to five years of professional fund raising
experience, preferably in a museum, educational, or cultural organization.
  Demonstrated superior proposal writing ability, as evidenced by
successful submissions to federal funding agencies or to major
foundations.   Familiarity with prospect research resources, on-line
search ability a plus.  Bachelor's degree or higher.  Experience working
with high-level volunteers a plus.  Salary range $35,000 - $42,000 DOE.
