AT the Vancouver Museum we stand the long poles on their ends resting on
ethafoam covered projections. The pieces are held perpendicular to the floor
with loops of  Tygon tubing ( don't use PVC tubing) to hold the things
vertically. Every 3 feet or less has a flexible tube loop tieing the pole to
a chicken wire door of a holding area where more tall things are stored.
