Sorry to disappoint, but the Field Museum's Egyptian collection
may be large, but it is not well-documented (one of our Trustees
thought we ought have an Egyptian collection, so he went to Cairo
and Paris at the turn of the century and bought one).  The Oriental
Institute Museum (University of Chicago), Brooklyn Museum, Metropolitan
Museum of Art (both NY), Museum of Fine Arts (Boston) and the
University Museum, University of Pennsylvania (Philadelphia) would
be my top choices.
