The Folk Culture Division at the Canadian Museum of Civilization
has a large collection of quilts, over 400 if remember correctly,
and History Division has about 50 quilts and 75 bedspreads. If
you're interested in looking at this material you should contact
the Cataloguing section of Collections Management Services at the
museum. Please let them know as soon in advance as possible.
                              Good Luck.
