Jan: I think your intro was a fine example of the kind of
"advertising" that is perfectly kosher on this list. Anything
beyond that starts to seem, how shall we say, a bit pushy. The
Net rules remind me of a group of people who are to the manner
born. When someone crosses an invisible line, we shake our heads
and mutter to each other, "that's just not good form, old sport,
not comme il faut at all." Though people are a little rawer in
their expression than that.
I once asked Bob Dahl, a museum consultant who participates (d?)
on this list for his CV, as I was about to hire a consultant for
a NEH planning grant we got. I asked that question publicly on
the list. Oy, the tsuris I got about that!
So, I will limit myself to saying welcome, I'm glad your here,
and...watch your step, buddy :^).
