The National Council on Public History's task force on electronic
communication, which I chair, is seeking one or two new members.
Our current composition overrepresents academics, so we are
specifically seeking people who are working in the public history
field in institutions such as government agencies, historical
societies, museums, consulting firms, etc.  Our composition also
reflects the male-dominated culture of the internet, so women are
particularly encouraged to volunteer.  Naturally, we are looking
for people who are members of the NCPH and have some familiarity
with its activities.

The task force is currently discussing setting up an NCPH WWW
server, giving a workshop at the next NCPH meeting, and the
possible adoption of the PUBLHIST listserv as an NCPH organ.
