Hello Linda, I have no experience with filemaker pro...however, I was setting up
a database, where in a similar situation (inputting accession number information
where more than one number had been assigned over the years to a singel item)
What I did in this case was create a field for the "working" accession number
(just entitled Accession Number,)  and another field for "other" accession
numbers, which contained notes about those past numbers, what they were used for
(traveling exhibition numbers...etc.)
