Jean, regarding your queries about the B-36 atCastle Air Museum, the people
restoring the aircraft are not USAF personnel but rather volunteers at
themuseum. The USAF recently transferred operationsof the museum to a private
not-for-profit - the Castle Air Museum Foundation . The museum is planning a
big B-36 reunion the weekend of Qctober 14th and is expecting visitors from
all over the country. From what i remember there are only 4 B-36s left in the
world, the others being at Wright-Patt, Fort Worth, and i dont remember where
the last one is. Anyway, my wife works at the museum and i'm sure she has the
info...give her a call her name is Louisa Hart, tel.no.209-723-2178. Hope
this is of some use.
