        I suggest the United States Army Quartermaster Museum located on
Ft. Lee, Virginia (just outside Petersberg). They are the official museum
for the Quartermaster, which supplied uniforms, also I believe they oversee
U.S. Army museums. If they don't have the info you want, they can point you
in the right direction
