If anyone has a response to the following message, I will forward it.
"Would anyone like to share their experiences with regard to:
the relocation of objects to off-site stores or other venues and/or the
barcoding of objects in museums?
In conection with barcoding, I am particularly interested in issues such
as inventorying, ease of access, reduced handling, accountability,
networking with other museums, or any other interesting or relevant
factors.
I am currently working on relocation of objects at the State Museum in
Melbourne, Victoria and am also writing:
a paper on barcoding
a thesis on relocating museum collections
Does anyone have any experience that they would share with me?
