The University of Oregon Museum of Art seeks a highly motivated, creative
leader to build and strengthen its collections and its relations with both
academic departments and the community at large. The ideal Director will
understand and contribute towards the educational and research role of a
major art museum within a university; excel at cultivating external
relations and fundraising; will possess strong administrative and managerial
skills; and will have demonstrated strong curatorial capabilities. The UO
Museum of Art's 14,000 piece collection is composed primarily of Asian
decorative art and Northwest regional art and is housed in a 10,000 sguare
foot Northern Italian Romanesque building. Full-time academic administrative
