The Oregon Historical Society is working on a series of new "permanent"
exhibits. The first section to open the end of October is the history of
Portland, Oregon. One section of the exhibit deals with "car culture"
and the curators would like to have artifacts from Denny's as an example
of a nationwide chain that developed with highways but isn't a drive-in.
Howard Johnson's would be another example. Anyway they're looking for
any artifacts from Denny's that date from the 1970s. Menus, furniture,
uniforms, signs, etc. They've tried corporate headquarters and have been
scouring the retro places in the area, if you know of where they might be
obtained please let me know. There is a small acquisition budget. Or if
you have them in your collection and would consider a loan?
