I've mentioned this before but I've had great success in using software that's
called "client management" software. I use a DOS program called 1stACT but
I also understand that ACT 2.0 for Windows is available. It has screens that
allow you to fill in data on the person....name, address, phone numbers, notes,
schedules of who and when, and you can change the wording in these screens so
that instead of "Business" you could put in "School Name".... It automatically
checks the date and time whenever you boot up and will remind you of appoint-
ments, a to-do list that you've set up, and you can print out a schedule of
today's, week's, etc. list of appointments, etc. The software originally
cost me under $90.... It also includes a word processor and mailing list and
label maker...so you can do a letter or print labels from the address list.
So you can also set up 'Friends of the Museum" list, etc...
