CALIFORNIA ACADEMY OF SCIENCES
ROBERT T. WALLACE UNDERGRADUATE RESEARCH INTERNSHIP
1995
The California Academy of Sciences will offer its Robert T. Wallace
Undergraduate Research Internship for Summer 1995. This 3 month
internship matches a student with a scientist to work on a specific
research project. Interns will have the opportunity to learn about a
specific group of organisms, be involved in original scientific
research and appreciate the role of a natural history museum in
research and education. The research project may include
laboratory and field expedition components.
Eligibility: Junior and Senior level undergraduates who are U.S.
citizens with a B average or better and have demonstrated
participation in a wide range of campus activities.
Duration: Full-time (40 hours/week) for 3 summer months
(June-August); starting date may vary.
Stipend: $2000 for the internship period.

Academy, the organisms and type of project you would like to
participate in, a letter of recommendation from a Science professor
and one set of official transcripts. All applications should be sent

Deadlines: Application materials must be received no later than 1
April, 1995. Decisions will be mailed from the Academy by 15 April,
1995.
