President Clinton Names Bryant and Frost to Museum Services
Board

WASHINGTON, Dec. 8 -- The President today
announced his intent to nominate John L. Bryant, Jr. of the
District of Columbia and Phillip Frost of Florida to be members
of the National Museum Services Board.
Mr. Bryant is Co-Director of the Bauman Foundation, responsible
for funding a variety of educational programs within numerous museums
and arts organizations. He is also President of the Constitutional
Education Foundation. Mr. Bryant received a bachelor's degree from
the University of Virginia and a law degree from the Georgetown
University Law Center.
Dr. Frost is Chairman of the IVAX Corporation and a Governor of
the American Stock Exchange. He also serves as a Trustee of the
University of Miami, the board of directors of the Vice President's
Residence Foundation, and the board of directors of the Lowe Museum
of Art. After receiving a bachelor's degree from the University of
Pennsylvania, Dr. Frost earned his M.D. from the Albert Einstein
College of Medicine.
The National Museum Services Board is responsible for reviewing
the activities of the Institute of Museum Services which is located
within the National Foundation on the Arts and Humanities. In
addition, the Board encourages and assists museums in their
educational role and in easing their financial burdens.
