On 12/12/94 Jackie Carr posted the following. A return address wasn't not
specified; I am therefore responding to the list.
--------------------
I'm working on a paper addressing the representation of United States
involvement, action and reaction to the Vietnam Conflict in museum
exhibitions in the last 20 years. Consequently, I would appreciate
information about
exhibitions with this focus, where they were installed and if catalogs were
produced in conjunction with the exhibitions. As I am still collecting
information regarding such exhibitions, I have not yet defined the limits of
my study. Currently I'm interested in any and all types of exhibits. Thanks
in advance for any leads.

The First Division Museum at the Cantigny estate of the McCormicks traces
that unit's progress through several conflicts, including Vietnam. I can't
say I found those exhibits "are a representation of United States'
involvement, action, and reaction"; however, I thought the scripting and
exhibitry were very nice. The Museum has an extensive library and collection
related to the First Division. I only know the director; his name is Dr.
John Votaw, and their telephone number is 708/668-5187.
