"Planning for People in Museum Exhibitions" by Kathleen McClean (exhibition
consultant, museum studies professor, JFK Univ., director of public programs
at the Exploratorium) is available from the Association of Science Technology
Centers in Washington, D.C.  It was reviewed in this summer's "Curator" and
was described as sensible, informative, and covering the full range of
exhibit development concerns.  It had a chapter on the team approach (it
probably still does!)
