INTRODUCTION: The Maryland Historical Trust, an agency of the Maryland Department of Planning, is seeking a motivated, energetic and creative individual, who is committed to providing outdoor educational experiences for children and adults, for the Museum Educator position at the Jefferson Patterson Park and Museum (JPPM).  JPPM, the State Museum of Archaeology and a center for both regional and statewide archaeological research, is located on 560 acres along the Patuxent River in Calvert County, Maryland. 

This position provides outdoor educational experiences at Jefferson Patterson Park and Museum (JPPM) and participates in all aspects of the educational programming which are consistent with the Park’s mission. Responsibilities include: conducting school field trip programs, summer camps, demonstrations/workshops, off-site programs for community groups, developing and conducting outreach programs, and assisting in park events.
