Archaeological Collections Manager & NAGPRA Coordinator – Kansas State University
Kansas State University (K-State) in Manhattan, KS, seeks a qualified individual to serve for three years as Archaeological Collections Manager and NAGPRA Coordinator in the Department of Sociology, Anthropology, and Social Work. This person is responsible for the ethical stewardship of K-State’s anthropological collections in a culturally and archaeologically sensitive manner. They also will serve as the K-State liaison for consultation with key stakeholders and complete other duties pertaining to compliance with NAGPRA. This is a great opportunity for a young professional wishing to gain diverse experience working with collections or an advanced archaeologist or collections manager looking to make a difference with a new setting. Applicants should have training and/or experience with archaeological collections and sincere interest working with descendant communities.
