Dear Michael,
Dr. Friedman mentioned that there was some interest at Florida State
University in creating a faculty position for informal science education.
At this point I think he's hoping for a M.A. program, though. If any of
you out there have suggestions why don't you contact him directly?
His address is >[log in to unmask]<. Here at NYU Museum Studies
is somewhat of a poor relation (if not an orphan) but people are trying.
I think a better route might be through education departments that would
allow students to take museum studies classes for a combined degree. The
two major problems seem to be:
1. MONEY
2. Teachers to teach informal education
Any thoughts out there?
BTW: I tried to reply directly to you but your address didn't work.
Regards,
Robbin Murphy
