I am trying to research the value of particular items left to me by my
mother.
1) Two Kathe Kruse dolls, in original box, with headbands etc. which
were purchased by my grandfather in Germany during WWII
2) Numerous wood sculptures of gods/personalities, purchased at the
time of the Korean war in Japan (various sizes)
3) Four beautifully kept silk prints of Japanese men and women in
ancient Japanese dress purchased during the time of the Korean war in
Japan
It has been difficult finding any information about the prints and
wood sculptures, but I did have the local Print professor assess them
as best as he could. He says that I need to find out the date of
production and also find out the information about the artists by
their stamp. My father, who purchased these Japanese keepsakes, has
been dead for over twenty years, and the story was not kept.
Please respond to me directly if you have any leads.
