What is special about the Phillips is not just the paintings, but the
building itself and how the works are installed. Phillips was a man
of tremendous vision and sensitivity early in this century, and you
get to see the paintings he collected in the surroundings of his
home.
Probably the two most impressive rooms for me are the Klee room for
its diminutiveness, and the Rothko room for its majesty.
Don't skip it.
