MUSEUM MANAGER
Collier Museum at Government Center, Naples, FL  – Collier County Museums

Salary $57,469.00 Annually with full benefits

The Collier Museum at Government Center (CMGC) is one of five museums owned and operated by the Collier County Government. Each location has its own Manager reporting to the Museum Director and actively participating in a leadership team that includes a Curator of Collections and a Curator of Education.

This position oversees and maintains the daily operations at this location, plans and executes museum events, public programs & educational activities, develops and installs museum exhibitions & traveling exhibits, and participates in the care and conservation of museum collections.

The Museum Manager will also supervise, direct, and evaluate assigned staff, processing employee concerns and problems, directing work, counseling, disciplining, and completing employee performance appraisals.
Each Manager is expected to develop community and professional contacts and promote public awareness of all of the Museums’ activities.

This position will also supervise site maintenance and play an active role in the planning of restoration, renovations and/or improvements to the museum grounds and structure(s). 
Each manager is responsible for developing and maintaining a budget their site and may also participate in grant proposals and submission as well as overseeing any grants awards. 

Candidates must be able to operate a computer, printer, facsimile machine, copier, telephone, automobile, electric drill, hand tools, or other equipment as necessary to complete essential functions, to include the use of word processing, spreadsheet, database, or other system software.

In the event of a declared state of emergency, all Collier County government employees may be called to work during days or hours other than those for which they are regularly scheduled.
