No-no-no-no! -- I didn't mean to suggest a narrow focus or a duplication
of effort. I meant only that if MUSEUM-L was divided into sub-interest
lists, I'd be happy to receive only the sub-list on collections care
issues (if that would be one category of general interest). I subsribe to
the Distlist, find it an ongoing source of useful information, and am
continually surprised at Walter Henry's skill and energy as its
shepherd(?). (For those who don't know it, you can subscribe through a
request to <[log in to unmask]>. Its subscribers are
mostly preservation administrators and conservators in a wide variety of
specialties. The discussion seems to reflect a different audience from
MUSEM-L's, and I don't *think* a collections care category of list here
would be redundant. You, Walter, and the rest of the subscribers would
need to decide that.
