May 25 -"Salvaging Damaged Books, Paper, & AV Collections." Live online. Strategies for prioritizing & triaging collections for recovery, and techniques for salvaging books, works on paper, and audiovisual materials. Don't wait for the worst to happen - be prepared! Registration deadline is May 23.
June 15 - 'Hands-on' Webinar on "Surface Cleaning Techniques for Paper-based Materials." Just a few seats left! Live online. Learn various surface cleaning methods that can be safely used to clean books and paper. Combination lecture and live demonstration, and U.S. attendees will receive a supply kit in the mail. Registration deadline is June 1 to ensure kit mailing time.
July 13 - "Preventing and Responding to Mold in Book and Paper Collections." Live online. Learn how to assess and identify mold, how to safely clean moldy materials, and how to prevent future mold outbreaks through proactive preservation measures. Registration deadline is July 11.
July 15-Sept 23 - "Preservation 101: Preservation Basics for Paper and Media Collections." The 10-session Web Course prepares participants to complete a preservation needs assessment and provides structured guidance on developing an institutional disaster plan. A series of live, instructor-led webinars builds on self-paced study between sessions, using assigned readings and other resources to supplement the "classroom" discussions.
