Our museum is building a large new permanent exhibit on colonial Florida. In the exhibit, we are recreating a small Spanish home of early St. Augustine. The house is designed to be a walk-through interactive area for children and they will be able to sit on the furniture that we are building for it. The bed will have a mattress that we would like to stuff with Spanish moss or some material that can simulate the feel of Spanish moss. Can anyone recommend a source of artificial Spanish moss or moss that has been treated and dried? Or better yet, some material that can simulate the feel of Spanish moss? So far, the artificial and dried moss sources that I found have been rather expensive. Any help you can give in this direction is greatly appreciated. Thank you.
