Hello,
I'm curious how science centers and museums utilize technology to exhibit live video content to their visitors, particularly maritime content.
I've been told 1080p is the widely accepted standard for such transmissions and for video compression H.264 Codec is the benchmark. Is this true? Would this be affected by using a switcher (say, with a minimum of 5 feeds--1 to roll pre-recorded video, 2 live, topside feeds and 2 underwater feeds)? Basically, are there generally accepted technical specifications for video quality that would be needed on the receiving end for such a broadcast?
Thanks very much.
