Thank-you everyone for all of your wonderful ideas on making weights for archival documents.
After assessing our needs, I went to Walmart picked up a container of 6,000 bb's (weighs almost 5lbs), some plastic ziplock bags and unbleached, natural cotton muslin. I am sewing simple muslin bags which will hold a plastic bag filled with 1/2lb of bb's so, I will get about 6 1/2 lb weights/container. Container of bb's is around $7.00, so not including the muslin, thread, plastic bags and labor, my cost is about $1.16/weight. I'll try to post some pics when I am done.
