Hi Alli,
I'm going to assume that you own the copyright - if not, you're probably out of luck. I agree that you should be specific about what you license, but you must also be realistic. I really doubt that anyone is going to list your museum on their truck (but, hey, you can always ask). Expect a package deal (truck, website, brochures, etc.) Be prepared to ask for what you think is fair value. And be sure to get an end date. Granting rights in perpetuity is never a good idea. And I don't think they can make a "donation" because they get goods (use of the mural) in return for their money. That's never tax deductible.

With that in mind I was wondering if we could make them a one time deal- such as they donate $5,000 to our annual fund and we agree to let them use the image on their fleet of vehicles. Thoughts from you guys- is this a good idea? Is it professional? What kind of contract would you suggest?
