The Ah-Tah-Ki-Ki Museum of the Seminole Tribe of Florida (STOF) is currently looking for a full-time Museum Tour Guide/ Admissions Clerk. This position is responsible for leading individuals or groups of visitors throughout the Museum providing them useful and interesting information in a narrative format about specific topics regarding the Seminole culture and history, museum exhibits and/or facilities. The individual is also responsible for collecting and entering admission fee(s) in to Intuit’s QuickBooks Point of Sales system. It also entails monitoring visitors throughout the exhibits and outside; distributing promotional materials, and answering questions concerning exhibits, museum facilities and/or regulations. Prior experience as a tour guide is preferred. Knowledge in Native American art, culture and history, especially Seminole is helpful, however training will be provided.  The candidate must have possession of a valid Florida Driver’s License, or the ability to obtain this license. Good appearance and pleasant speaking voice in order to communicate with the general public is required.  Also the applicant must demonstrate excellent organizational and interpersonal skills including excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, and Outlook is helpful. This position requires the ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays. The ability to lift 30 lbs. is necessary. High School Diploma or equivalent GED is required. Members of the Seminole Tribe of Florida will be given preference.
