** Lauder donates billion-dollar collection to Met
Lauder, the emeritus chairman of Estée Lauder, a major art collector and
philanthropist, has pledged to give the New York museum his collection of 78
works by Pablo Picasso, Georges Braque, Juan Gris and Fernand Léger,
believed to be one of the foremost collections of Cubism in the world

The Ella Sharp Museum was transformed into a circus complete with jugglers,
live music, food and beverage at the opening reception and unveiling of

** Museum reveals new addition to Titanic exhibit
The original 1912 report of an influential British investigation into
Titanic's sinking was used by the Cunard Line to upgrade the safety
standards for its vast fleet in the wake of the Titanic tragedy

Archaeologists who were on hand during the construction of a new building in
Edinburgh uncovered a carved sandstone slab, decorated with markers of
nobility - a Calvary cross and a sword
