Hi Angela,
I believe the Grand Rapids Public Museum has an extensive vacuum cleaner collection, particularly of Bissell vacuums. However, I don't know of the amount. http://www.grmuseum.org/

Subject: [MUSEUM-L] Vacuum cleaner collections
Dear colleagues,
are you aware of any museums in the U.S. or abroad that hold a vacuum cleaner collection? If so, how many vacuum cleaners are there? (not counting those in active duty, of course ;-) )
Best wishes
Angela
