But John, there are too many archaeologists for the amount of jobs. There was even a recent article about how useless a degree in Anthropology was! So my point, it isn't just museum studies, it is all the social sciences and humanities jobs that are paid lower than they deserve. And don't even get me started on teacher's salaries!
One last point, I didn't get into the profession for the money. . .

"Funny how there is no hue and cry over the glut of people with newly minted master's degrees in French, or art, or archaeology or sociology or whatever who don't have jobs awaiting them, and there is little demand that the excess number of graduate programs in those fields be shut down. Why pick on museum studies?
