Hi all,
I wanted to ask the list how common it is to have full-time staff devoted to the editing of videos (for exhibits, websites, development, etc.) Is it more common to hire outside contractors or to have full-time staff?
(I am asking as someone who worked as an educator in a museum several years ago, and has subsequently worked as a video editor. I would love to return to the museum world in a position where I could use my video editing skills, but having been away for several years I am not too sure if these positions are typically on staff or are now freelance. (I am in Southern California; not sure if there may be regional differences or not.))
Any insights would be very helpful and much appreciated!
Thanks,
Lonnie
