** Oakland museum hit by 2nd burglary
A burglar made off with valuable Gold Rush artifacts in the Oakland Museum
of California's second break-in in less than two months
** Getty Museum to Return Ancient Artifact to Sicily
The museum took the initiative to investigate the piece's origins after
seeing fragments in a publication that could join to the head, which dates
to about 300 or 400 B.C.
** First fossil bird with teeth specialized for tough diet
A study of the teeth of a new species of early bird, Sulcavis geeorum,
published in the latest issue of the Journal of Vertebrate Paleontology,
suggests this fossil bird had a durophagous diet, meaning the bird's teeth
were capable of eating prey with hard exoskeletons like insects or crabs
