Please forward this to your exhibitions/programs staff:
The Missouri History Museum has open venues for its traveling exhibition, American Revolution on the Frontier.
The exhibition focuses on the portion of the American Revolution that took place west of the Appalachian Mountains. In those years the West was a diverse, multi-ethnic mix of peoples – Native Nations, French Canadian habitants, British soldiers and businessmen, and American settlers. It was a place where people's hearts and minds were blended, where loyalties and allegiances were complex.
The war fought over the future of the West would have a lasting impact on the ways the United States and Canada came to define themselves. The Revolution in the East created two new nations, but the Revolution on the frontier determined what sort of nations they were going to be.
We are seeking venue prospects especially for June 27, 2015 – October 25, 2015 and April 30, 206 - August 14, 2016. The exhibition is approximately 5,000 square feet. The rental fee is $150,000 in addition to inbound shipping costs. Interested institutions should send your AAM Facility Report to Patrick Allie, Project Manager, Missouri History Museum at [log in to unmask] and request more information.
Thank you,
