Please Participate in NEMA's Museum Ethics Survey.
In this era of smartphones and GPS devices, it's hard to get lost on the highway anymore. But navigating the ethical landscape is another thing altogether. What latitude do we give major donors who want to influence the content of our exhibitions? How far can we "tailor reality" to qualify for a grant? Are ethical standards of any kind really a priority in the museum field?
The New England Museum Association invites you to participate in a benchmarking survey that will help find answers to these important questions and inform scholarship on the subject. The results will be incorporated into an upcoming edition of NEMA News in 2013.
To participate in the survey, please go to: https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/museumethics
The survey is intended for anyone who is a staff member, volunteer, or board member of a nonprofit museum, historic house, botanical garden, interpretive center, zoo, or aquarium. Deadline for participation is January 4, 2013.
Thanks for your help!
