Lauren Lantos wrote to ask for more information about the Carlos exhibit.
I don't have her email address, so will send this to the list.
The Carlos Museum of Emory University has a permanent collection of over
13.000 objects spanning nearly 9,000 years. The online exhibit displays a
sampling of the museum's objects from Greece and Rome, Asia, the Ancient
Near East, the Ancient Americas, Egypt, Sub-Saharan Africa, and has many
examples of the collection of Works on Paper. The Works on Paper are
quite varied and include twentieth century works (Paul Klee and Man Ray,
for example).
The online exhibit has over seventy gif images that can also be seen in a
larger, jpeg format.
We hope to continue to add text as well as more images to this exhibit as
the information becomes available.
