I've recently run across a very interesting program called the Human
Library (www.humanlibrary.org), designed to essentially let patrons
"check out" interesting people for a one-on-one conversation. While
the original program was designed as an anti-prejudice activity, I was
thinking that this could somehow be adapted to a local history museum
such as my own as an oral history/chance to meet interesting locals
event. Has anyone worked with this concept before? How did you go
about adapting it for use in a museum? Feel free to reply off list if
you'd like.
Sincerely,
W. Scott Heath
