** Dinosaur Fossil Backs Up Meteor Extinction Theory
Researchers from Yale University discovered the fossilized horn of a
ceratopsian - likely a Triceratops, which are common to the area - in the
Hell Creek formation in Montana last year
** Preserved Dinosaur Tracks at the Texas Memorial Museum in Danger of
Extinction
Next to fossilized dinosaur bones, especially those that can be reassembled
into complete skeletons that can be viewed in a museum, the actual
footprints of those ancient monsters are some of the most fascinating things
that they have left behind
** Rotten dino egg reveals ancient scavengers
Pesky wasps once fed upon the insects gorging on rotting dinosaur eggs some

** Dinosaur Egg Clutches, Not as Simple as Chicken Eggs
Observation of egg clutches allows for greater interpretation of dinosaur
reproductive behaviors and the depositional paleoenvironment of the clutch
than looking at the individual eggs alone
** Dinosaur Bone Holes Hint at High Metabolism
Tiny holes associated with blood supply inside fossilized dinosaur long bone
shafts suggest that dinosaurs had higher metabolic rates than present-day
mammals, according to new research from an international team of scientists
** China's first tyrannosaurus museum opens in Shandong
China's first tyrannosaurus museum has opened in east Shandong province,
receiving thousands of visitors on its first day
** Dinosaur hunting
The western side of Dinosaur Ridge was formed during the Jurassic period
while the eastern side was formed during the Cretaceous period, making the

** New Jersey fossil dig endangered by development plan
Facing a looming deadline, Lacovara and his team have stepped up their
efforts to dig, applying for grants and enlisting students and amateur
paleontologists to shovel the gray, muddy sand for pieces of natural history
** Scientists Take Dinosaur's Temperature
Studying the teeth of the long-necked Brachiosaurus, they discovered it had
a temperature of about 100.8 degrees F and the smaller Camarasaurus had a
temp of 98.3 degrees
** China to have dinosaur museum
Located in Liujiaxia Dinosaur National Geopark on the upper reaches of the
Yellow River, the museum will showcase dinosaur fossils, footprints and

and for all the new dramatic displays and hands-on exhibits, it's clear that
the study of the prehistoric creatures is unfinished and there is still much
to discover
** Other Fossil News - Key color pigment found in ancient birds
An international team of researchers using sophisticated x-ray technology
has found chemical traces of a key color pigment in 100-million year old
fossilized birds that once formed their feather patterns
** Two Medicine Dinosaur Center holds treasures of the past
Last year the team found the remains of what they believe was a raptor-like
meat-eating dinosaur about the size of a large dog
** Teeth Thermometers Reveal Dinosaur Body Temperatures
Recent research, however, suggested that it would have been impossible
physiologically for dinosaurs to sustain themselves as cold-blooded
creatures and led to the development of a model estimating the temperatures
of large dinosaurs to exceed 40 degrees Celsius
** Live chat: Ask the dinosaur experts
Instead of being solitary hunters, Currie proposes, fearsome predators such
as Tyrannosaurus rex and its close relative Tarbosaurus bataar hunted in
coordinated packs in which hunters both young and old had their own distinct
roles to play
** Call for dinosaur museum in Qld's south-west
