Position Description
Title: Research intern – Lee-Fendall House Museum
Supervisor: Executive Director
Status: Part Time – Flexible (weekends acceptable)
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Lee-Fendall House Museum & Garden, located in Old Town Alexandria, VA, is seeking a research intern. Intern responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Using DC area resources, research history of the Lee-Fendall House Museum & Garden and its residents as they relate to both the Civil War and the War of 1812
- Assist in the development of interpretive themes relating to the above research
Preferred Qualifications:
The intern must be flexible and willing to assist with all aspects of the organization’s work. An understanding of historical research and DC area resources is required. Excellent oral and written communication skills important.
