Cultural heritage and traditions are vital elements in education in all Baltic Sea countries. Everyone involved in cultural heritage education in the Baltic Sea States is invited to a two-day conference on Cultural Heritage Education in Fredrikstad, Norway, from the afternoon of the 7th to 8th of April 2011. During the conference, the Norwegian experience with cultural heritage as a part of the Cultural Rucksack will be thoroughly presented, together with experiences with cultural heritage education in the other Baltic Sea countries.
The conference will be a meeting place for cultural heritage educators, for instance teachers, local and regional representatives and representatives of cultural heritage institutions. The conference will cover the whole spectre of the cultural heritage field, including museums, science centres, archival institutions, monuments, sites etc.
The conference programme is free of charge. Participants cover their own travel and accommodation costs. Follow the link for full programme and registration <http://www.abm-utvikling.no/tverrsektorielt/internasjonalt/cultural-heritage-education-conference.html>
