The Hanover Historical Society in MA is looking for a part time or full time Collections Manager within our non profit organization.  The position is a short term assignment and is funded by Community Preservation Funds.  The position is an independed contractor position and will last approximately 650 hours, and the lenght of employment will depend upon the number of days worked each week.

Duties shall include, but are not limited to..

-	cataloging of all new acquisitions of the HHS as well as the re-cataloging of all existing acquisitions.  Cataloging shall include not only the input of all relevant data into a computer database, but also the taking of photographs of each object for HHS files, and recommending and implementing the appropriate means of storage for each item.  
-	recommending object restoration or conservation as needed.
-	recommending the de-accessioning of objects not relevant to the collection of the HHS.
-	position may also oversee volunteer staff to assist in the scanning of photographs in our vast collection.
-	assist in projects relevant to the above and to the collections found within the HHS. -
